Teaching Plan


1. Curriculum
The curriculum used in Batino Elementary School is the K-12 Curriculum Basic Education Program. This curriculum is directly from the Phillipines Government.

2. Teaching Plan Related to My Major
Teaching Plan that related to my major ( Elementary Education) is based on the K-12 curriculum. Before the learning proccess, we must prepare the teaching plan first, including the media that will be used, materials, learning objectives, subject matters, assignment.

1.      Drill
Use flash cards. Instruct the pupils to use mental math in finding the product/ quotient.

d.      3000 ÷ 2        
e.       1000 ÷ 50      
2.      Review
Converting gram to kilogram and kilogram to gram.
3.      Motivation
Show a picture of a flooded place with plastics bottles, cups, etc that floating. Ask pupils to look at the picture and describe what they see.
Ask : why do we needs to keep our surrounding clean?
What objects in the pictures that can we reuse?
B.     Developmental Activities
1.      Presentaing the Lesson
Ask : When you buy bottled mineral, bottled juice, aside from the brand, what other things do you want to see in its label?
(expiration date, ingredients,etc)
Today we will reuse empty bottles with different size in our lesson.

Why should we know about the capacity measurement.

C.     Generalization
How do you convert Liter (L) to milliliter (mL) and milliliter to liter?
To convert liter to milliliter multiply the number of liter by 1000.
To convert milliliter to liter divide the numbers of milliliters by 1000.
Mililliter is a metric unit used to measure the capacity of small containers.
Liter is used to measure the capacities of the large containers.
D.    Application
Give the explanation and some examples to the pupils and also presenting a problem.
